When you raise children, one thing you come to understand is how quickly time passes. You also learn how special traditions are to children. They invoke a spirit of excitement, they act as a tether later on, and they draw the family closer together.
In our home, one tradition that is held high is that of planting a tree at the age of 3. This gives an opportunity for the children to make their own mark on the property, and they can watch it blossom and grow with the seasons, right along side themselves.
